Dear Cathy, Paul and Family, I was so saddened to find out about Joan's death from a friend in Brantford. It is so terrible and sorrowful to lose such a unique and caring woman. Please accept my deepest condolences and hugs of comfort for all of you. How we will miss Joan as we knew her. She was a dear friend and steady support to my mother, Mary McGraw, for many years. Joan and Bud did a great job raising all of you and was so devoted to family and to God. I hope you will be comforted and sustained by the happy memories of Joan at her finest, whether debating with us around the dinner table or having a laugh with the teachers and students in the School of Nursing Library, Joan reached out to so many and touched their lives with her goodness. My heart and soul will be with you at tomorrow's Mass and in the days that follow. All my love, Janet (and Cam) and deepest sympathy from my children- who called her: 'Grandma Joan'. God bless.
