The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joan Redmond can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Shelagh Peterson
Condolence: On behalf of the entire Rayner family, I want to extend sincere condolences on the death of Joan. She was a dear friend of my late parents - George and Phyllis Rayner - and by extension, our family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May you take comfort in the knowledge that God is now watching over her.

Condolence: To all my aunts and uncles and cousins - we have lost touch, which sadly sometimes happens in life. I wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss. Grandma Joan was a big part of my childhood and so were all of you. I didn't really have an extended family - so all of you, along with Grandma Joan, gave me that sense of having a big family, which I would not have otherwise had. That sense of family was a huge source of love and security for me. So I thank you all for that, and especially Grandma Joan who was always so soft and sweet. I will always remember her. Love you all.

Condolence From: Janet McGraw Allan
Condolence: Dear Cathy, Paul and Family, I was so saddened to find out about Joan's death from a friend in Brantford. It is so terrible and sorrowful to lose such a unique and caring woman. Please accept my deepest condolences and hugs of comfort for all of you. How we will miss Joan as we knew her. She was a dear friend and steady support to my mother, Mary McGraw, for many years. Joan and Bud did a great job raising all of you and was so devoted to family and to God. I hope you will be comforted and sustained by the happy memories of Joan at her finest, whether debating with us around the dinner table or having a laugh with the teachers and students in the School of Nursing Library, Joan reached out to so many and touched their lives with her goodness. My heart and soul will be with you at tomorrow's Mass and in the days that follow. All my love, Janet (and Cam) and deepest sympathy from my children- who called her: 'Grandma Joan'. God bless.
