Edward  Devereux
Suddenly on January 15, 2017 at the age of 61. Soul mate of wife Carol (Sykula) for 40 years. Devoted father and best friend to his son Brandon and (Nadine), father to his forever little girl Michelle Stys and (Jason). Ed will be missed by his grandchildren, Paisley, Ethan, Garner, Ella and Emma...they were the light of his life. Ed was predeceased by parents Edmund and Gertrude, mother-in-law Helen Sykula, brothers John and Ron. Ed is survived by father-in-law Stan Sykula, brother Richard, sisters Sharon Harris, Maureen Bonnell, Val McCleary, Marg Maker, Vicki Rutherford and longtime friend Wayne Crumback. Ed was involved in the trucking industry for 36 plus years ending his career with International Carrier Systems out of Comber, ON in which he took great pride serving on the board of directors for many years and Ed quotes "The best steel hauling company in Ontario". Ed will be missed by family and many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 28th, from 2 to 4pm at Mount Pleasant Community Centre, Mount Pleasant. Family and friends all welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Ed.
