Obituary for Shirley Arlene Radford

Mom’s long awaited wish for peace has been granted. Shirley Arlene Radford (nee McMullen) passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre in Brantford on Tuesday, December 27th 2016 in her 97th year. She was Mom to Don and Mary and Scott and Dianne, dear Gramie to Meghan and her husband Derek Lippert, Sarah and her husband Edgar Sylvestre. and Jessica and her fiancé Mihir Soparkar. Special Gramie G to Mason and Maxin Lippert. Predeceased by her devoted husband Doug (1990), infant sons Joseph and Warren, sisters Dorothy Collver and Bernice Caughell, and brothers Ronnie and Ross. Shirley is also survived by her sister Mary Chapin, sister-in-law Edna and her husband Henry Gronlund and by many nieces, nephews and their families. Friends and family will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 6:00 -8:00 pm, and on Wednesday from 10:00 am. to be followed by the service in the chapel at 11:00 am. A private family interment will be held at Burford Pioneer Cemetery. In an expression of sympathy donations may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association or to Burford United Church.
