Obituary for John "Jack" Bamsey


Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, July 6th, 2016 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Dot (nee Hodgson) for 59 years. Loving father of Christopher (Cheryl) and Elizabeth “Liz” (David) Gerth. Amazing Papa of Alex, Owen, Ethan and Jackson. Cherished brother of Ronald, (the late Marion), Kelvin (Barbara) and Raymond (Pamela). He will also be missed by many extended family members and friends. Jack began his career in 1956 at Brantford Cordage and moved to Guelph in 1970 where he opened Guelph Twines, retiring as Vice President in 1995. His family and friends will miss his big personality and great sense of humour.
The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Saturday, July 9th, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
