Obituary for Albert Gordon "Al" Campbell

CAMPBELL, Albert “Al” Gordon – peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Telfer Place in Paris. Al was in his 92nd year. Predeceased by his cherished wife Nancy (nee: Robertson) (1983), and by his 2nd wife Lila (nee: McWaters) (2014). Dearly loved father of Gord and his wife Trish Campbell. Proud grandfather of Stephanie and her fiancée Mike Livings and Andrew Campbell. Step-father and father-in-law to Barbara and Garry North and Shirley and Ron Ammerman. Uncle of Garry North, Brian and Jayne North and Gail Newman. Lifelong friend of Anne Crawford and John Sr. (2008), John and his wife Kathy, and their family. Al was an employee of Keeprite Products for over 35 years. He served in the Navy during WWII on board the H.M.C.S. Battleford. He was also a longtime member of the Dunsdon Legion and the Ex Serviceman’s Cribbage League. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Rangers. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. and again on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 12-1 p.m. Service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre. www.dennistoll.ca
