Galileo "Leo" Volpe
Surrounded by his loving and devoted family, Galileo passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in his 93rd year. Beloved Husband of the late Maria (2003); cherished Father of Marina and Dale Carter of Richmond, B.C., and Lorena and Jim Olmstead of Brantford. Adored Nonno of Jeremy (Dalia) and Melissa Carter, and Michael, Danielle (Gary) and Jeff Olmstead. Loving Bisnonno of Brayden Carter. Also survived by his many relatives in Brantford, U.S.A. and Italy. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers to be recited that evening at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. If desired, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
