Obituary for Fay Whitty

December 10, 1938 - November 16, 2015. Passed away peacefully with her husband by her side, at the Brantford General Hospital after a blessedly brief battle with cancer. Fay was born Mary Fay Sheldrick in Metcalfe, Ontario and was the cherished wife of Ray for 56 years. Beloved mother of Gregg, Mark (Heather), Jill Hyson (Garth) and Scott (Billie-Jo). Proud grandmother of Matthew, Alyssa, Nathan, Jordan, Ryan, Brooke, Alexandra, Taylor and Charlotte. Dear sister of Earl Sheldrick (Aleith) and Doug Sheldrick (Patti) and sister in law of Dennis (Lorna) and Janet Bishop (Tom). A selfless and sacrificing homemaker, wife and mother, Fay devoted her life to her family and friends. Life saw Fay make a home, as well as lifelong friends, in many different locations over the years, including Ontario, Alberta, Venezuela, the Philippines, and Egypt. Fay will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her family and friends. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends will be received for a Celebration of Life to be held on her birthday, December 10, 2015, 6-9 p.m. at the Charing Cross Reception Suites, adjacent to THE DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross St., Brantford, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brant County SPCA, 539 Mohawk St. Brantford, Ontario in honour of Fay's lifelong passion for animals. www.dennistoll.ca
