Passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday October 31st, 2015 at the age of 101 years. Beloved wife of the late Harold Allan Norris (Dec. 23, 1991) and dear mother of devoted sons Wayne (Renate), Bob (Linda) and Gerry (Sharon). They will very much miss their mom and her desire to keep the family close and interested in the growth of each other. Grandmother of Petra (Bryan) Norris-Pett, Scott (Van), Chris (Emma), Kelly (Jeff Somerville), Michael (Tracy Bayne) Grummett and Brian (Katy) Grummett, each of whom will fondly remember and miss a warm, loving grandma. Proud great-grandma of Breanna, Sophie, Emily, Megan, Nicholas, Amy and James. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her parents Caradoc (born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania) and Annie (nee Seath) Jones (born in Greenock, Scotland). She was also predeceased by her sisters Janet (Fred H.) Kent, Margaret (Albert “Bert” E.) Warren, Becky (Daniel) Wilson, and brothers Richard “Dick” ( Mary "Violet") Jones and Caradoc ”Doc” (Marjorie) Jones.
The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday November 4th, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. A private immediate family service will be held followed by a private interment, with Sterling McElrea of Bethel Park Bible Chapel officiating. We extend sincere thanks to the staff at the Brantford General Hospital for the concern, care and attention shown to Anne over the past months. Due to a family allergy flowers are gratefully declined. Donations to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, the Arthritis Society of Ontario or the Brantford SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
