Passed away peacefully at home at the age of 64, after a long and well fought battle with cancer on Monday, August 24, 2015. Bob is now reunited with the love of his life Olga (nee Rusyn, deceased October 2014). Loved and dearly missed by daughters Dawn Lamont and Jennifer (Jeff) Sullivan. Loving son of William (deceased 2013) and Janet Lamont, and beloved eldest brother of Margaret (Bob) McCubbin, Stephen (Jackie) Lamont, Elaine (Billy) Guffie, and Scott Lamont, all of whom are sending their love and support from his home country of Scotland. Bob will be fondly remembered by Olga’s family, Anna Rusyn, Jerry Rusyn, Luba Rusyn, and dear family friend Nancy Rusyn. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Scotland. Bob loved his job as a CNC Programmer, and will be missed by his co-workers at Farris Engineering where he was employed for 40 years. Special thanks to Dr. Trus and his staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre. The family would also like to thank Stedman Community Hospice outreach staff, as well as the VON, for all of their compassion and care. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Stedman Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
