Obituary for Sarah Louise "Louise" Woodcock


WOODCOCK, Sarah “Louise”- promoted to glory, after a brief illness, on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre in Brantford Ontario. Louise was 83 years old. Loving mother of Bill (Deanna) of Sarnia, Barb (Dave) Bremner of Peterborough, Diane (Mike) Ballok of Brantford, Dave (Susan) of Winnipeg. Proud, cherished grandmother of Stephen (Lili) of Lima, Peru, Michael of Ottawa, Stefanie (Kevin) of Cambridge, Erika (Kyle) of Brantford and Angie (Mike) of Calgary and 3 great grandchildren; Spencer, Paige and Jemina. Predeceased by her husband William in 1987. Louise was born on March 4, 1932 in Norwich, Ontario to parents James Lyon Body and Ethel Moores Body. She was one of 10 children and is survived by brothers; Howard, Lance, Lowell, Gilbert and Tim and one sister Kathleen. She attended Grace Anglican Church for 50 years and served as president of the Anglican Church Women for several of these years. She always had several beautifully knitted baby sweaters and hats for sale at the ACW booth at their annual bazaar every November. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 1-2 p.m. at Grace Anglican Church, 4 Pearl Street, Brantford. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Canon Janet Griffith. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Louise’s life. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family would like to thank Brierwood Gardens Retirement Home, where she lived for 3 years and St Joseph Life Care, for the last 2 years, for their wonderful care. Mom was truly happy there.
