The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Anne Johnson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Coffee in the kitchen

Anne Johnson got me through my (overdose of) teen angst.  Kate and I becoming close friends coincided with us acquiring our drivers' licences; for me this meant that my general restlessness could translate to driving around Brantford until all hours.  What started out as aimless driving eventually turned into more purposeful driving to the Johnson residence; all roads led to Cedarland Dr..  I knew that Kate and Anne would be up, that they would put coffee on (whatever the hour), and most importantly that they would listen.  As Jenn McCready said,"My God the hours around that kitchen table!".  Looking back it amazes me that people who had known so much bigger problems would have had any patience with my teenage existential nonsense.  Anne always listened, sympathized, and made me feel as though there were adults in the world who understood.  Thanks Anne xoxo
