it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antonietta, with her loving family by her side, on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Brantford General Hospital, in her 86th year. Reunited with her beloved husband Giuseppe “Joe” (2008), her cherished son Donato “Donnie” (2013) and her parents Onofrio and Annina Berarducci. Much loved and devoted mother of Robert and Tony (Michelle). Caring mother-in-law of Bev. Adored Nonna of Donald (Sari), Greg, Amanda (Nathan) Fries, Scott (Cassandra), Larissa (Vinnie), Chantel (Jake), Kolton and Bryce. Proud Bis-Nonna of Maja, Donato, Sophia, Melia, Emma, Clare, Olivia, Grace and Adrianna. Sister-in-law of Lina (Don) Geldart, Gilda (the late Mario) Leone and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by many extended family members both in the US and Italy. Antonietta came to Canada from Rocca Pia, L'Aquila, Italy. Together with her husband Joe, opened their store and life’s work “Leone Grocery” in 1959. Together they spent the next 45 years enjoying operating the business and making many new friendships along the way. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday, from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m., Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church, 50 Palace Street, Brantford on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady Of The Assumption Mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery in Paris. If desired, donations to the BGH Foundation appreciated. Thank you to all the nurses and doctors that cared for our Mother, especially to those in the Critical Care Unit.
