Obituary for Harvey Pekrul

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Harvey Albert Pekrul at the age of 63 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton. Beloved husband of Elaine (nee Doherty) for 38 years, father of Justin (Melissa), Jordan, and Opa to Lydia. Lovingly remembered by his sister Karen (Brian) Springle, sister-in-law Joanne (Cecil) Campbell, brother-in-law John (Patti) Doherty, and father-in-law Jack Doherty. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Eva. Harvey will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Harvey was a great man full of compassion, sincerity and honesty. When he married and started a family, he was always giving and did it his way striving to be a provider. His life centered around the essence of his family and he worked diligently for his family and was so proud of his two sons Justin & Jordan. He loved entertaining them with his boat and fishing trips. His precious joy was his new grand-daughter Lydia and dear daughter-in-law Melissa, that he cherished and loved deeply. He led a simple life of selflessness, hard work and humility, while maintaining a reserved and quiet nature. He was a graduate of Computer Sciences and this was his passion. He was an entrepreneur and made technology his business in his early years. We thank the paramedics for their heroic efforts. We especially thank our amazing and loving friends Tammy & husband James and Denise for their tremendous support and compassion through this difficult time. Harvey will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Forever in our hearts. Forever remembered.
