Obituary for Alice Sarkisian

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Alice Sarkisian, known to many as “Sarki”, on Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at the Brantford General Hospital. Alice was predeceased by her parents John (1977) and Mary (2001). Alice was also predeceased by sisters Rose Robertson and Margaret, brother Koran, and her nephew Michael Sarkisian. She is survived by her nieces Janine Lalonde (Andre), Lynn Henley (Dave) and Michele Ashworth. Cherished memories are left with her great-niece Kaitlyn and her four great-nephews Brandon, Blair, Cameron and Brin. Her passion in life was sports, playing basketball in her high school years and she was also a member of the Brantford Badminton Club. Alice was an avid golfer and was a member of the Brantford Golf and Country Club where she won the Ladies Club Championship in 1971. Alice loved her family dearly and she had many friends, whom she loved very much and who enriched her life. The family would like to extend our thanks to the critical care staff at the Brantford General Hospital and the dedicated PSW’s who visited her home daily. A private service and family dinner at the Golf and Country Club has taken place, as per Alice’s wishes. A celebration of life will be held at the Charing Cross Reception Suites, adjacent to the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday, January 20th, 2019 from 2pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Stedman Community Hospice or St. Joseph’s Lifecare would be appreciated.
