Obituary for John Terdik

With heavy hearts, we sadly announce the sudden passing of John Terdik on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at the Brantford General Hospital. John was the beloved husband and best friend of Donna for 55 years. Much loved father of Martha (David Diegel) and Ann Myhal (Jeff). Dearly missed by grandchildren Hannah, Gareth and Gavin. Dear brother of Bill (Karen), Irene Manninen (Aimo) and the late Joe. Eldest son of the late John and Irene Terdik. There was nothing John loved more than sharing a laugh with family and friends, and he had an entertaining story for every occasion. He was an avid golfer with the seniors' league at Northridge Golf Club where he proudly shot a hole in one last year. He was a former long-time member of the Brant Curling Club. He loved his "fur kids" Daisy and Chester. John was proud of his association with Brantford Collegiate Institute (BCI) first as a student and then returning as a teacher for more than 30 years. In addition to teaching, he served as head of the geography department for many years and enjoyed coaching cross country, curling and golf. He attended McMaster University where he completed undergraduate and graduate degrees. Following a private family service, the family welcomes friends to share happy memories of John at a reception to be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. at the Charing Cross Reception Suites, adjacent to the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford . In lieu of flowers, if desired, please consider a donation to the Brant SPCA, in honour of John's abiding love of animals, or to a charity of your choice.
