Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Brantford General Hospital, in her 86th year. She has been reunited with her beloved husband of 62 years, Bill Kitchen. Cherished mother of Brenda (Ron) Laidlaw, Frances Wait, Bill, Brian (Chris), Tina (Jim) Luft, Randy (Louise), Mark (Denise), and Sean (Karla). Ida will be dearly missed by her 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister, Helen Campbell and sister-in-law, Lois Barsony. She was predeceased by her infant sister Sarah, her brothers, Alex and Charles Barsony and son-in-law, John Wait. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the medical staff at the Brantford General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit and the staff and friends at Tranquility Place for their care and support. Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday, June 24th, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, June 25th, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
