Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the age of 59. Loving wife of Shawn Fairless. Cherished daughter of Peter and the late Florence Higgins. Much loved sister of Scott (Cindy) and Jim (Darlene). Dear aunt of Mitchell. Adored niece of Sheila Mullin and Carmie Clifford. She will also be missed by her special friend Marilyn. Denise was the Deli Manager at Sobey’s (formerly Calbecks) for 40 years. She also loved to travel, spending as much time as she could in the Caribbean. The family would like to thank the Nurses at the Brantford General Hospital ICU/CCU for their excellent care and compassion. Friends will be received for a Celebration of Denise’s Life at the Charing Cross Reception Suites, adjacent to the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 2 -5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
