It is with great sadness that we have lost a wonderful son and a gentle man. Corey fought a courageous battle against lymphoma cancer. Corey joins his big sister Rebecca (2005). Mourning his loss are his parents Harry and Susan; late grandparents Arnold and Mary Ward, Harry and La Vivian Wolstenholme, Keith and Helen Barnard; aunts and uncles Cathy and Ted Ward-Griffin, Tim and Julie Ward, Connie and Ivan MacKeil, Jeannie and Greg Pyatt, Cathy (deceased) and Richard Dyer, cousins Jeff, Brian, Kristy, Danielle, Alicia, Shane, Tara (deceased), Matthew, Michelle, Vanessa, Christine and Justin; best friend Justin Kennedy and his surrogate sister Melissa Birley. The family would like to thank Juravinski Hospital ward C4, and a special thanks to all the nurses that helped Corey through all his treatments, nurse practitioners Kari Kolm and Margaret Forbes, social worker Maggie Jamieson and Juravinski Cancer Centre, Dr. Graeme Fraser and nurse Trudy Allan and CCAC nurse Starla. A special thanks to all our family and friends during Corey’s treatment. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bereaved Families of Ontario Hamilton/Burlington branch.Arrangements entrusted to TOLL FUNERAL HOME where a private family service will take place.
