While living in Italy, Vincenzo fought in the battle of WWII, following which he emigrated to Canada from Celle di San Vito, Foggia, Italy in 1951, looking for a better life for his family. He found work in the mines of British Columbia for the time being before settling in Brantford, Ontario in 1953. There he established a long career with Union Gas until his retirement in 1983. Vincenzo always found time to tend to his prize winning fruit and vegetable garden, and he had a love for WWE Wrestling that could only be surpassed by his love for Italian soccer, “Forza Italia”! Vincenzo will be remembered as a hard working man who always provided for his family, friends and also his community by assisting many fellow Italian families get settled when they arrived in Brantford.
