Obituary for Rosanna Carrozzella
Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Thursday, December 14th, 2017, in her 68th year at home surrounded by her family. Loving wife and best friend of Pat for 51 years. Cherished mother of Anthony (Heidi), Anita (Bryan) and Michelle (Rick). “Nonna” will be terribly missed by her grandchildren Tanner, Luke and Casey. Sister-in-law to Angelina and Albert, Florence and Predeceased Mario. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Maria Vaccaro and in-laws Antonio and Anita Carrozzella. “Zia” to Adrian (Heather), Marilyn, Tony (Carmen), Darren, Richard, Christian, Austin, Allie, Tori and Julian
Rosanna was a dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s League serving as president for six years. Her commitment to St. Pius Church led her to make lifelong friends while she supported the church community. Even while fighting her illness, Rosanna continued to help others and recently organized a fundraiser “Rosie’s Dream” for a much needed ultrasound machine for Hamilton Health Sciences. She was an amazing advocate for those that required a helping hand and she translated this in amazing home cooked meals for the “Soup for the Soul” program.
Rosanna was loving, feisty and loyal to all she loved. Her humour and contagious laugh will be remembered each day as she leaves a lasting legacy with her family and friends. Being around Rosanna reminded us all that love, laughter and a little bling goes a long way. Forever in our hearts, today, tomorrow and forever.
Special thanks to the nurses at Bayshore (Christina, Starla and Mark), Lara from Stedman Community Outreach, Dr. Puglia, and April from McMaster Hospital, and Dr. Christina for their support and care over the last several months.
Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 at 11am at St. Pius Church. 9 Waverly St, Brantford.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to “Soup for the Soul” at St. Andrew’s Church, 95 Darling St, Brantford.
