Passed away suddenly at home after a brief illness on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the age of 50. Loving wife of Frank Vale for 23 years. Cherished daughter of Patricia and the late Thomas Whalen (2006). Dear sister of Michael (Aileen), Patrick (Evelyn), Danny (Diane), Aaron Kevin and the late Bonnie Mason. Much loved aunt of Gary (Michelle), Jesse (Charlie), many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Sharon. Colleen was an avid Calgary fan, and was especially fond of the Flames player Lanny McDonald. She also loved horses and being outdoors. Colleen participated in the Special Olympics and competed in Ontario and Alberta. The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Colleen can be made to Jesse’s Journey, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
