March 1st 1933 - September 13th 2017

After a brief illness surrounded by her family, Adeline has returned home to be with the Lord. Adeline leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion for her extensive family. Her faith was of deep importance to her throughout her entire life. Beloved wife of 63 years of Donald Haber. Cherished mother of Donald (Suzanne), Susan Sheppard, Joanne, Kenneth (Linda), Bill (Lisa), Gregory (Cindy). Loving and outstanding grandma of Chantal, Michelle, Michael, Steven, David, Lisa, Danny, Kelsea, William, Gregory, Ellen and Olivia. Adeline is a proud great-grandmother of 9. Loving sister of Sister Michaeline SSND, Sister Mildred SSND, Sister Caroline CSJ, Sister Christina CSJ, Sister Lucy CSJ and Lucille (Jack) Delisle. Predeceased by parents Michael and Mary Straus, brothers Wilfred, Ralph, Jake, Gerard and Eugene. Adeline was an active member and past president of the St. Pius X Parish CWL. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the stroke unit and palliative care unit at the Brantford General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross St, Brantford, Friday September 15th 2-4p.m and again from 7-9p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00a.m Saturday, September 16th at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly St, Brantford. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stedman Community Hospice. The smell of grandmas baking, always made with an extra dose of love and served with kindness will forever be in our heart. She really was the world’s BEST grandma. www.dennistoll.ca
