It is with great sadness that we announce Magda’s passing, peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday April 23rd, 2016. Magda Jakub in her 83rd year. Cherished wife of Julius for over 63 years. Loving mother of John and his wife Jayne and Edward and his wife Mary. Proud Grandmother (Baba) of Lisa (Jeremy Jones), Anastasia and Nikolai. Predeceased by her parents, George and Mary Sinar and her sister Mary (Vagn) Enevoldsen. A sincere thank you to the many staff and volunteers at BGH and especially the members of the Palliative Care Unit that provided much comfort and care for Magda and the entire family. Friends and family will be received at the Dennis Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday, from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly St., Brantford on Friday, April 29th, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Brantford. Donations to the Kidney Foundation or Cancer Society appreciated.
