Passed away at the Stedman Community Hospice with her loving family by her side on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 at 73 years of age. Beloved wife for 53 years of the late Philip Israel (2014). Loving mother of Steven (Michele), Mark (Tracey) and Shonna (Dean). Cherished grandmother of John, Ashley, Josh, PJ, Natalie, Michael, Charlie and Henry. Proud great-grandmother of Halisha, Niomie, Carter and Arya. Much loved sister of Brian (Barb), Maureen (Gino) and Kim (Cathy) and sister-in-law of Peter (Jolin). Carol was predeceased by her brother Kenneth and parents John and Edna Thompson. Carol will also be missed by her many close friends, especially her golfing girlfriends. At Carol’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. The family will receive friends and family for a time of celebration and fellowship at the CHARING CROSS RECEPTION SUITES, adjacent to the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Carol’s family would like to thank the physicians and staff on C7 on the palliative care floor of the BGH and at the Stedman Community Hospice for their compassion and care.
