June 13, 1934 – November 22, 2015

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Antonia Imola (nee Imola), in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved Wife for 61 years to Tito. Devoted and loving Mom of Louise (Angelo) Palombi, Franca (Scott) Jones, and Josef (Keili) Imola. Cherished Nonna of Christopher (Amanda) and Simone Palombi, Emanuela (Steve) Tilley, and Seth and Sophia Imola. Great-Nonna to Evalyn Tilley. Predeceased by her parents Assunta and Dominico Imola, and her brother Luigi Imola. Antonia will also be deeply missed by both extended Imola families in both Canada and Italy. Antonia had a passion for cooking and gardening, taking great pride in her flowers, and even winning the Brantford Blooming Gardening Award. Antonia was a true survivor of life, overcoming any obstacles that faced her, and making each and every moment count. She was happiest when spending time with her family, always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Antonia’s kindness, compassion and warm smile will be missed by everyone who knew her. The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers to be recited that evening at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 133 Murray Street, Brantford on Thursday at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Assumption Mausoleum, Holy Cross Cemetery, Paris. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
