Passed away peacefully at the John Noble Home on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Mario. Devoted and cherished mother of Angelo (Rosa) and Antonio (Laura). Adored Nonna of Margaret (George), John, Mario, Paul (Mary), and Theresa (Franco). Margherita will be deeply missed by her great-grandchildren Emma and Vincent, and her great-grandchildren in Italy. Predeceased by her brother Giuseppe Iannetta (Clara). Margherita immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1967, and with her husband and son, they established a life in Canada. Margherita was a devoted woman of faith and attended church regularly. She was known for her nurturing and loving nature, and always available to help her family in anyway necessary. Margherita was most happy when she was in the presence of her family. A special thank you to all of the staff at the John Noble Home for their compassionate care of Margherita during her time there. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers to be recited at 8:45 p.m. that evening. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 133 Murray Street, Brantford at 9 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
